Brian Alexander

Brian Alexander

Sr. Manager, Ad Solutions Mobile, Yahoo!, Santa Monica, CA

Brian Alexander leads the Ad Solutions team focused on monetization strategies for Mobile Display, Video and SMS advertising. In this role, Brian works closely with the mobile product and business development teams to provide insight into advertiser needs. In addition, he educates the national sales force about Yahoo! Mobile's products and services.

Prior to joining Yahoo! in 2006, Brian spent 10 years working at several top ad agencies including Initiative, Carat and Saatchi & Saatchi. In 1999, Brian negotiated one of the industry's first broadband video buys for a not so well known brand at the time, TiVo. While at Saatchi & Saatchi he focused on display, search and emerging media advertising and executed many digital marketing firsts for Toyota including VOD, TiVo, In Game Product Placement, as well as Mobile programs.

Brian graduated from UCSD with a BA in Political Science.

Michael Bayle

Michael Bayle is the Head of Global Monetization for Yahoo! Connected Life where he leads the global monetization operations for Yahoo! Mobile. Bayle is a Board member of the Mobile Marketing Association and is the Board sponsor of the sub-committee on mobile advertising guidelines.

Bayle joined the organization in September 2002 and played a key role in launching the world's first mobile sponsored search trials in Japan in 2004, and in the US in 2005.

No stranger to the Internet, Bayle has been working in the sector for over 11 years, including business development tenures at IDG and Microsoft.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts in Japanese, a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, and his Masters degree in Computer Science from Stanford University.

Seth Frank

Director, Video Strategy, Yahoo!, San Francisco, CA

Seth is Director of Video Strategy for Yahoo! In this role, Seth works with Yahoo! properties, Publisher Network partners (such as Major League Baseball and Comcast), advertisers and content providers. Seth led Yahoo.s Videofy initiative to grow streams and standardize video platforms across Yahoo.s network of owned and operated properties, creating best in class video experiences and new innovative ad formats.

Seth came to Yahoo! as part of the acquisition of Jumpcut.com in October of 2006. At Jumpcut, Seth played a pivotal role in creating some of the first user generated video promotions, including remixing contests, online auditions for movies and the famous Doritos . Crash The Super Bowl contest. Several of the user-generated commercials submitted to this contest were aired during both the 2007 and 2008 Super Bowl broadcasts.

Seth holds a BS in Information Systems from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from Stanford University.

Kevin Nalty

Kevin Nalty is a career marketer (formerly with Johnson & Johnson), and now a Consumer Product Director at a Fortune 100 company. But by night he's "Nalts," one of the most prolific online-video creators. He has created more than 650 videos that have been viewed online approximately 30 million times. He and his online videos have won numerous awards, and have appeared on CNN, ABC, BBC, Fox and CBS News. He recently wrote about online-video marketing for Advertising Age, authored "How to Become Popular on YouTube Without Any Talent," and is publishing a book for marketers titled "The Prophet of Online Video." Nalty has created sponsored videos for such brands as Mentos, Holiday Inn, GPSManiac, Cox Communications, and Crowne Plaza.

Sandra Jakob

Sandra Jakob is a Sr. Product Marketing Manager with Yahoo!'s Advertising Marketplaces Group, responsible for driving product strategy for Video Monetization, with a specific focus on Advanced Ad Formats, Creative Management and Global Strategy. Sandra began her online career with GoTo.com in 2000, where she was witness to the development and early evolution of Pay-Per-Click Search Marketing. She was instrumental in launching GoTo's first international marketplaces in Europe, and then launched and managed the first Global Sales Team at Overture Services, Inc.

While at Overture, Sandra became a trusted adviser for US-based Fortune 500 and Internet-only companies that were seeking consultation on how to take their online marketing campaigns global. Since joining Yahoo!, Sandra managed global partnerships with MSN, focusing on contextual advertising solutions, and was a pivotal member of the team developing the core International Product strategy for Yahoo!'s Search and Display advertising business, including Project Panama and Social Media monetization.

Brendan has been helping to monetize the wireless web for over 10 years. Most recently as part of BlackBerry Loyalty and Retention team at RIM, where he leads collaboration with wireless carriers to increase engagement and lifetime value of BlackBerry users. Prior to joining RIM Brendan built 3 successful web-centric businesses (VFM Interactive, iTrac Media, iStrategy Group), held senior internet strategy roles with JWT, Ogilvy, Capital C, and roles with Procter and Gamble, Pillsbury, Telus Mobility and 724 Solutions.

Erin Simino

Erin is a Supervisor at Starcom Worldwide where she has worked across the technology client group for the last three years. She has helped to manage B2B and Consumer advertising across Sun Microsystems, Autodesk and most recently Research In Motion (RIM). Her expertise covers both offline, online and mobile planning as well as activation.

For the past year, Erin has led the development of mobile advertising programs for RIM's BlackBerry brand including product launches, branding initiatives, small business efforts and the first Brand Metrics Accountability Research study conducted in the industry.

Brent Stafford is responsible for building the partnerships and strategic alliances which drive the VideoClix solution for monetizing video on the web. An expert on the intersection of brands and entertainment properties, Stafford works directly with content providers and advertisers to develop innovative clickable video programs.

Brent has created national and global joint-marketing campaigns and intellectual property agreements with companies such as Procter & Gamble, Coca-Cola, Wal*Mart, Electronic Arts, New Line Cinema, Disney, NASCAR, Super Bowl, Hasbro, GRAMMYS and Lucas Films to name a few.

Brent holds a Masters Degree in Communications from Simon Fraser University.

Alfredo Tan

Alfredo Tan

Senior Director, Connected Life, Yahoo! Canada, Toronto, ON

Alfredo Tan is Senior Director, in Yahoo's Corporate Partnerships and Connected Life Divisions. He leads the charge in growing Yahoo! mobile internet presence in Canada through strategic mobile initiatives with companies such as Rogers Wireless, Telus Mobility, Bell Mobility, and Research in Motion as well as future content and publishing partners. Alfredo also simultaneously leads the management of the overall strategic relationship between Rogers and Yahoo! across all respective lines of business and functional groups.

Prior to Yahoo!, Alfredo was Strategic Alliances Director at Sympatico MSN. In his role, Alfredo had the opportunity to collaborate with leading brands in e-commerce and entertainment.

Recently, Alfredo was a lifestyle coach & personal trainer, holding numerous national certifications. He received his Bachelor's Degree (Honours) in Forensic Science from the University of Toronto, his Master's degree in Information Systems & Technology at McMaster University and completed executive education programs at Harvard Business School and the Sloan School at MIT.
